Literature Analysis

ACA’s Literature Analysis is an interactive bridge course designed to prepare students for high school. Students will read engaging books, short stories and essays across genres and learn to perform literary analysis, as well as identify key literary concepts and terms. The course includes a vocabulary component, as well as a socratic method of class discussion. Students will also create an interactive Literature notebook to assist them in future literature study.

Our complete novel list will be posted in March.

(Note: This is not a writing course. ACA’s recommended writing course for 8th grade is Lost Tools of Writing.)

Prerequisite: Currently enrolled in, or having completed, 8th grade (or approval by instructor)
